KEEP PRAYING FOR SHALOM CHILDRENS HOME

Date: 2010-08-03

The Social Welfare committee deciding on the registration of children’s homes, are meeting this month to approve some of the many applications they have received.  Please pray with us that Shalom will be one of the homes on the agenda and that we will receive final approval to operate.

Whilst this is all going on behind the scenes, we praise God for the progress that the children in our care have made.  To be part of a small family unit seems to have given them a security and confidence that wasn’t evident before.  For Clayton to live with a Godly father like our Pastor Rephat and his wife, and have a brother close to his age is wonderful.  We were sorry to say good-bye to Peggy last month as she returned to England, and she is sorely missed by children and team alike, but we praise God for the progress that the children made in their English and their school work whilst in her capable and caring hands.  In order to ensure that the children maintain their relationships with each other we are bringing them together every day at the church, where the little ones have pre-school and the older children are continuing their ACE education. Please pray for Sheila and Teclar who are now ‘in-charge’ of the school, that God would strengthen and equip them for the role that he has called them to.  Please continue to pray for the registration to be approved at the meeting in August.

Prayer Points:

• The committee will approve Shalom’s registration this month
• The children will continue to flourish in our care
• The ACE system will take off next term under Sheila and Teclar
